Mr. Udesh I W Seneviratna

Mr. Udesh I W Seneviratna is a Special Grade Officer of the Sri Lanka Administrative Service (SLAS) currently serving as the Additional Director General (Policy & Development) at the Department of Information Technology Management, General Treasury. He is also a Board Member of the National Eye Bank Trust of Sri Lanka.
Previously, Mr. Seneviratna was a Board Member of the Employee's Trust Fund (ETF) and acted as the Chief Executive Officer of the National Agency for Public Private Partnership (NAPPP) in Sri Lanka. He has also held key positions such as Senior Assistant Secretary (Development) in the Prime Minister’s Office and Senior Assistant Secretary to the President. His experience in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs includes roles as Director (East Asia & Pacific), Director (South Asia & SAARC), and Senior Assistant Secretary (ICT for Development). Furthermore, he completed a three-year diplomatic tenure as Minister at the Sri Lankan Consulate General in Frankfurt, Germany.
Before his tenure at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, he was Assistant Secretary to the President in the Bureau of Secretary to the President and the Policy Coordination & Monitoring Division of the Presidential Secretariat. His initial role in the SLAS was at the Ministry of Industry, Tourism & Investment Promotion, where he served as Assistant Director in various capacities, including Investment Promotion and Management Information Systems.
Mr. Seneviratna completed his education at Royal College, Colombo, and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Sciences from the University of Colombo. His academic credentials also include Post Graduate Diplomas in International Relations, Economics, and Public Management, as well as a Master's Degree in Management and Information Sciences, awarded Summa cum Laude from Japan.
