Lanka Government Network Project gets awarded.

SLT Zero One Awards is a unique ceremony that recognizes and rewards excellence in Digital Technology initiatives across the island.
Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) was honored with two awards at the ceremony for “Lanka Government Network Project (LGN 2.0)” as the overall winner for the Best Digital Product/ Service Category and winner for the Best Digital – Enabled product/ Service category for Government Institutions and NGOs sector.
LGN 2.0 aims to accelerate the exchange of information between government organizations by connecting them in order to provide an efficient service to citizens. Project has successfully established in 860 Government institutions and intends to connect 3,500 Government institutions at the end of this project.
Mr. Damith Hettihewa, Chief Executive Officer of ICTA received the award for the Overall Winner award from Mr. P. G Kumarasinghe, Chairman of Sri Lanka Telecom (SLT).
Mr. Kanchana Thudugala, Director – Special Projects of ICTA and Mr. Chinthaka Ekanayake, Senior Project Manager of ICTA received the award for the winner for the Best Digital – Enabled product/ Service category for Government Institutions and NGOs sector.
The award ceremony was held at the Galadari Hotel, Colombo.
