District Digital Readiness Index (DDRI) - Industry consultation meeting

ICTA and the Department of Census and Statistics(DCS) have introduced "District Digital Readiness Index (DDRI) for evaluating districts and identifying priorities for digital transformation and adoption across districts. Industry consultation meeting for the DDRI was successfully held on 23rd Jan 2023 with the participation of key stakeholders in the IT industry including DCS, SLASSCOM, CSSL, BCS, EDB, Ministry of Education, Presidential Secretariat, and TVEC.

DDRI has been introduced to evaluate the ecosystem readiness of each district based on 21 indicators. It will be used as a tool for prioritizing programs and resource allocations targeting inclusive regional development through equitable dissemination of digital technologies.
