Nenasala at ‘Seethawaka Abhimana’ Avissawella exhibition
The Information and Communication Technology Agency of Sri Lanka (ICTA) has set up a special Nenasala (Wisdom Outlet) as part of the Seethawaka Abhimana 2009 Educational Scientific and Technological Exhibition inaugurated last week at the Avissawella Seethawaka urban council premises.

The exhibition was declared open by Urban Development and Sacred Area Development Minister Dinesh Gunawardena.

This special Nenasala (Wisdom Outlet) within the exhibition has been set up, as all other Nenasalas, as a step towards bringing information and communication technology closer to the people.  Nenasalas are set up under the Sri Lanka initiative implemented in accordance with a concept of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.

Free internet and e-mail facilities are available to people who visit the Nenasala at the exhibition. Visitors to this Nenasala are also given an awareness on the information and communication technology facilities available to the people in all the  Nenasalas in the island.  Currently there are 571 Nenasalas island-wide and plans are underway for about 400 more Nenasalas to be set up in different parts during this year
